Indications

Carzilasa (Cocarboxylase) is indicated for the treatment of conditions requiring thiamine supplementation, especially in situations of vitamin B1 deficiency. It is useful in the management of metabolic disorders related to alcoholism, such as Wernicke's syndrome and delirium tremens. Additionally, this medication is used in the prevention and treatment of diabetic neuropathy, providing support for carbohydrate metabolism and contributing to the normal function of the nervous system. It can also be used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and in cases of heavy metal poisoning where a high requirement for thiamine is observed.

Composition

Each 1 ml of Carzilasa contains 40 mg of Cocarboxylase.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cocarboxylase or any of the excipients in the formula. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with conditions requiring fluid restriction, without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of kidney or liver diseases. It is important to monitor patients with a history of allergic reactions to other medications. The administration of Cocarboxylase should be performed under strict medical supervision, especially in critical situations and in elderly patients or those with comorbidities.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
