Indications
Cartigen (Diacerein) is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis and other degenerative osteoarticular conditions. This medication acts as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic, helping to reduce pain and inflammation in the joints. Its use is especially relevant in patients with osteoarthritis, where it can improve joint function and slow the progression of the disease. Its use is recommended under the supervision of a doctor and appropriate follow-up of the treatment.
Composition
Each Cartigen capsule contains 50 mg of diacerein, as well as the necessary excipients for its formulation. It is important to review the complete list of components to ensure the absence of any substance to which the patient may be allergic.
Contraindications
Cartigen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diacerein or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of inflammatory bowel disease or intestinal obstructive syndromes. Likewise, it is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, except for specific medical indications.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function is essential during treatment. In addition, special care should be taken in patients who are taking other anti-inflammatory medications, due to possible interactions. Cartigen is not suitable for use in children under 18 years of age.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
