Indications
Carnotprim Lp is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, including those induced by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and post-surgery. It is also used in the management of gastrointestinal motility disorders, such as diabetic gastroparesis and gastroesophageal reflux. Metoclopramide works by facilitating gastric emptying and improving intestinal motility, making it an effective option for patients experiencing symptoms related to gastrointestinal dysfunction.
Composition
Each Carnotprim Lp tablet contains 15 mg of metoclopramide as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoclopramide or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract. Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma and those with central nervous system disorders.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, or those receiving other medications that affect the central nervous system. It should be used with care in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
