Indications

Carnotprim is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea and vomiting, whether postoperative, chemotherapy-induced, or radiotherapy-induced. It is also used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and in cases of gastroparesis, especially in diabetic patients. Metoclopramide acts as a prokinetic agent, improving gastric motility and facilitating stomach emptying, which can help alleviate symptoms of abdominal discomfort.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Metoclopramide 10 mg. Excipients: Lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Carnotprim is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoclopramide or any component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract. It is also contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma and in those being treated with medications that produce extrapyramidal effects.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of depression, neurological disorders, or Parkinson's disease. Metoclopramide can cause drowsiness; therefore, it is recommended to avoid activities that require complete alertness. Likewise, it is important to monitor patients for the possible appearance of extrapyramidal symptoms, especially during prolonged treatments.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
