Indications

Cariden is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. It is used for the treatment of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, severe dermatological diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other conditions that require an anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive effect. It is also used in the management of asthmatic crises and in the treatment of hematological diseases such as thrombocytopathy. Its use must be under strict medical supervision and at appropriate doses for each patient, taking into account the severity of the disease and the response to treatment.

Composition

Each Cariden tablet contains 6 mg of Deflazacort as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients necessary for the tablet formulation.

Contraindications

Cariden is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Deflazacort or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in uncontrolled systemic infections, active peptic ulcer, and in patients with systemic fungal diseases. Caution should also be exercised in cases of diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, and osteoporosis.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when administering Cariden to patients with a history of recurrent infections, as the use of corticosteroids can predispose to infections. Rigorous monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels should be considered during treatment. It is important not to interrupt treatment abruptly, especially after prolonged use, due to the risk of adrenal insufficiency.

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a cool and dry place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
