Indications

Cardispan is indicated for the treatment of levocarnitine deficiency, especially in conditions affecting fatty acid metabolism. It is used as a complementary therapy for inherited metabolic diseases, as well as in situations requiring an increase in cellular energy levels, such as in cases of ischemic cardiomyopathy and in the management of chronic fatigue. It is also useful in the treatment of some neurodegenerative pathologies where additional metabolic support is required.

Composition

Each Cardispan tablet contains 1G of levocarnitine as the active ingredient, in addition to the excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.

Contraindications

Cardispan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocarnitine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency or in those with medical conditions that contraindicate the use of levocarnitine supplements.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients suffering from kidney or liver diseases, as levocarnitine metabolism could be affected. Medical monitoring is essential in patients with pre-existing conditions. Furthermore, its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should only be considered if strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
