C-Tech 1495Mg/2Mg is a dietary supplement indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency in adults and children who require additional intake of these nutrients. Its use is suggested in situations where calcium absorption is compromised, such as in osteoporosis, as well as during periods of growth, lactation, and menopause. This product may be useful in patients with increased calcium demand, such as athletes or people with restricted diets who do not meet the recommended daily intake.

Furthermore, the combination of calcium and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) is essential for bone health, as vitamin D promotes intestinal calcium absorption and helps maintain adequate serum levels, contributing to bone mineralization and proper muscle function.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Calcium (as calcium carbonate) - 1495 mg
• Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) - 2 mg

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, or severe kidney disease. Its use is not recommended in patients with sarcoidosis, as it can cause an increase in serum calcium levels.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases or those undergoing treatment with thiazide diuretics, as these may increase blood calcium concentration. Regular monitoring of serum calcium levels and dose adjustment as needed are recommended. Likewise, overdose should be avoided, as it can result in severe complications.
