Indications
Broxol is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases that involve excessive mucus production, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Its mucolytic action facilitates the elimination of bronchial secretions, improving pulmonary ventilation and contributing to the reduction of productive cough. It is useful in preparing patients for surgical or diagnostic procedures involving the respiratory tract, as well as in the management of respiratory infections where a decrease in sputum viscosity is required.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Broxol solution contains 300 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride and excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Broxol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ambroxol or any of the excipients present in the formulation. Furthermore, its use should be avoided in patients with active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding, as it may increase the risk of complications in these conditions.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with kidney or liver diseases, as well as in those with severe asthma, as the use of the medication may cause bronchospasm in some cases. It is important to monitor the patient's progress and adjust treatment according to clinical response.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
