Indications
Bre-Nidip is indicated for the treatment of symptoms derived from cerebral ischemia, including the management of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Nimodipine's action allows for improved cerebral blood flow, thus promoting neurological recovery in situations of cerebral vascular deficit. This medication is used in the context of intensive care and neurosurgery units, where patient monitoring is essential.
Composition
Each Bre-Nidip ampule contains 10 mg of Nimodipine as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
The use of Bre-Nidip is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nimodipine or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency and in those who are being treated with drugs that may negatively interact with calcium channel blockers.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of hypotension, bradycardia, or heart failure. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure is recommended during treatment with Bre-Nidip to avoid episodes of severe hypotension. Likewise, liver function should be evaluated before starting treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
