Indications

Bonjesta is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, as well as for the relief of symptoms related to hyperemesis gravidarum. The combination of doxylamine and pyridoxine acts synergistically, providing effective management of these common manifestations in pregnant women. Doxylamine is an antihistamine that reduces the feeling of nausea, while pyridoxine (vitamin B6) contributes to the regulation of metabolism and can help improve food tolerance.

Composition

Each Bonjesta tablet contains 20 mg of Doxylamine Succinate and 20 mg of Pyridoxine HCl as the active ingredient. Additionally, it includes excipients such as starch, lactose, and magnesium stearate, which facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Bonjesta is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or those with severe respiratory diseases.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of asthma, hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases. It is important to avoid concomitant use with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants, as they may enhance the sedative effects of doxylamine. Prior medical evaluation should also be considered in breastfeeding women or those with any relevant medical condition.

Storage

Store Bonjesta in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
