Indications
Bisoprolol is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension. It is also used in the management of chronic heart failure and for heart rate control in patients with arrhythmias. The use of bisoprolol can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of coronary heart disease. It is important that treatment is supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's individual needs.
Composition
Each Bisoprolol tablet contains 2.50 mg of bisoprolol as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, uncontrolled heart failure, bronchial asthma, or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is also contraindicated in patients with cardiogenic shock and those with peripheral circulatory problems.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using bisoprolol in patients with a history of pulmonary or cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those requiring surgery under general anesthesia. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment, especially in the first months of use. Use in patients over 65 years of age may require dose adjustments.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
