Indications
Bioyetin is indicated for the treatment of anemia in patients with chronic diseases such as renal failure, as well as in patients receiving chemotherapy for cancer treatment. This medication works by stimulating the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, resulting in an increase in hemoglobin and improvement of the patient's general condition. It is also used in situations of reduced endogenous erythropoietin production, such as in certain hematological disorders. Erythropoietin alfa can be administered to patients requiring correction of anemia related to chronic renal failure syndrome or those with chemotherapy-induced anemia.
Composition
Each Bioyetin syringe contains Erythropoietin Alfa as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation and stabilization of the product.
Contraindications
Bioyetin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to erythropoietin alfa or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with uncontrolled hypertension or in those with a history of blood vessel thrombosis. The administration of this medication should be carefully evaluated in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Bioyetin to patients with a history of heart disease, as well as in those who may be at risk of thromboembolic events. It is important to monitor hemoglobin levels and adjust the dose as needed to avoid an excessive elevation of hemoglobin. In addition, regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended in patients treated with erythropoietin alfa.
Storage
Bioyetin should be stored in its original packaging at a temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
