Indications

Bioyetin is indicated for the treatment of anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease, as well as in those who have undergone chemotherapy for cancer and present with anemia associated with this condition. It is also used in patients who require improved red blood cell production, especially those with anemia due to erythropoietin deficiency. Its use is aimed at improving hemoglobin levels and functional capacity in patients suffering from these conditions.

Composition

Each vial of Bioyetin contains Erythropoietin Alpha at a concentration of 4000 Units/mL. It is presented as an injectable solution for subcutaneous or intravenous administration, facilitating its use in different clinical contexts.

Contraindications

Bioyetin is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, as well as in those with known hypersensitivity to erythropoietin or any component of the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, as well as in those with anemia not related to erythropoietin deficiency. Its use must be carefully evaluated in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions.

Precautions

It is recommended to monitor hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in patients undergoing treatment with Bioyetin, avoiding excessive increases that could increase the risk of thromboembolic events. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those who may experience adverse reactions to the medication.

Storage

Bioyetin should be stored at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C (refrigerated). It should not be frozen and should be protected from light. Once opened, the product should be used according to the healthcare professional's instructions.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
