Indications
Biopram is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, especially those induced by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. It is also used in the management of gastrointestinal disorders, such as delayed gastric emptying. Metoclopramide, its active ingredient, acts as a dopamine receptor antagonist and has prokinetic properties, promoting intestinal transit and improving gastric motility. Additionally, Biopram can be useful in the treatment of diabetic gastroparesis and in cases of gastroesophageal reflux.
Composition
Each Biopram tablet contains 10 mg of metoclopramide as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
Biopram is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoclopramide or any of its components. It should not be administered in cases of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, or perforation of the digestive tract. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with pheochromocytoma, epilepsy, or in those receiving medications that may cause extrapyramidal reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Biopram to patients with central nervous system disorders, such as depression, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. It should also be considered in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, adjusting the dose as needed. Patients should be monitored during treatment for possible side effects, especially during prolonged treatments.

Store Biopram at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
