Indications
Biomitin is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, as well as in the management of vestibular disorders. Its antiemetic effect is due to the action of diphenidol, which acts on the central nervous system, blocking dopamine receptors and modulating the activity of the vestibular system. This medication can be used in cases of motion sickness and postoperative vomiting. It is important that its use is carried out under the supervision of a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Biomitin tablet contains: Diphenidol 25 mg. Excipients: starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, among others.
Contraindications
Biomitin should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to diphenidol or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe respiratory diseases, as well as in those with a history of adverse reactions to similar medications. Its use is not recommended in patients with angle-closure glaucoma.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Biomitin in patients with a history of depression, seizures, or diseases affecting respiratory function. This medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, it is recommended to avoid activities that require full attention, such as driving or operating heavy machinery. Likewise, its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and in geriatric patients, should be evaluated.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
