Indications
Biomisen 40 mg is indicated for the treatment of edemas associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. It is also used for the management of arterial hypertension, as furosemide acts as a potent diuretic, promoting the elimination of sodium and water through urine. This medication can be used in emergency situations, such as acute pulmonary edema, where a rapid reduction of fluid overload is required. It is important that its use is supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dose according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each tablet contains 40 mg of furosemide as an active ingredient. Excipients are: corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Biomisen is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to furosemide or to any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of anuria, severe dehydration, or hypovolemia. Likewise, it should be avoided in patients with acute or severe renal failure, and in those with uncorrected electrolyte disturbances.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gout, diabetes mellitus, liver diseases, or in those receiving other medications that may affect electrolyte balance. Regular monitoring of electrolytes and renal function is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
