Indications

Biomics 400 mg is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections. It is effective in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and bronchitis. It is also used in urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis, as well as for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections. Cefixime works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which results in the death of susceptible bacteria. It is essential that this medication be used under appropriate medical supervision, considering the sensitivity of the pathogen causing the infection and the patient's medical history.

Composition

Each Biomics capsule contains 400 mg of cefixime as the active ingredient, along with excipients that facilitate its formulation and presentation.

Contraindications

Biomics is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefixime or other cephalosporin class antibiotics. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to any antibiotic. Its use in patients with renal insufficiency requires caution and dose adjustment.

Precautions
