Indications

Biometacin is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and painful conditions. Its use is recommended in cases of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders where effective pain and inflammation control is required. Additionally, it can be used for the management of acute postoperative pain and in conditions such as primary dysmenorrhea. It is important that the use of Biometacin is supervised by a healthcare professional who will evaluate its suitability and the appropriate dosage for each patient.

Composition

Each Biometacin capsule contains 25 mg of indomethacin as the active ingredient. Excipients: gelatin, colorants, among others.

Contraindications

Biometacin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to indomethacin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease, severe renal insufficiency, or those with a high risk of bleeding. Use during pregnancy and lactation must be carefully evaluated.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, asthma, high blood pressure, heart failure, or kidney failure. Regular monitoring is important in patients requiring long-term treatment. Alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.

Store Biometacin at room temperature, in a dry, cool place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
