Indications

Biofuroso 200 mg is indicated for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia, a condition characterized by an iron deficit in the body, resulting in decreased red blood cell production. This medication is useful in situations of iron deficiency, such as in cases of hemorrhage, heavy menstrual bleeding, or inadequate diets. It may also be indicated for patients who require increased hemoglobin production, such as those who have undergone surgery or who have chronic diseases affecting iron absorption.

Composition

Each Biofuroso tablet contains 200 mg of ferrous fumarate, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Biofuroso is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ferrous fumarate or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in individuals with non-iron-deficiency anemia, hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or any condition involving iron overload. It is important to avoid its use in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution is advised when using Biofuroso in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, ulcerative colitis, or inflammatory bowel disease, as iron can irritate the gastrointestinal tract.
