Indications

Binarius (Buprenorphine) is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, as well as for pain management in patients requiring prolonged treatment and who do not respond adequately to conventional analgesics. It is also used in the treatment of opioid dependence and in the management of withdrawal in patients undergoing a detoxification program. Its pharmacological profile allows its use in patients with a history of chronic pain or in those requiring intensive analgesic control.

Composition

Each Binarius ampoule contains 0.3 mg of buprenorphine in injectable solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to buprenorphine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory insufficiency, acute bronchial asthma, or in conditions that compromise respiratory function. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of substance abuse or opioid dependence, except in the context of supervised treatment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, as buprenorphine metabolism may be altered. Likewise, monitoring is recommended for elderly patients and those with medical conditions that may affect their response to treatment. Concomitant use with other central nervous system depressants, such as benzodiazepines, may increase the risk of serious adverse effects and should be avoided.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
