Indications
Belara is indicated for the prevention of unintended pregnancy. It can also be used for the treatment of menstrual disorders, such as dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome. This medication works by inhibiting ovulation and altering cervical mucus, which makes it difficult for sperm to reach the egg. In addition, it can help regulate the menstrual cycle and reduce the intensity of menstrual flow.
Composition
Each Belara tablet contains:
- Ethinylestradiol: 0.03 mg
- Chlormadinone: 2 mg.
Contraindications
Belara is contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thromboembolism, cardiovascular diseases, breast cancer, endometrial carcinoma, and in women who are smokers over 35 years of age. It should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula.
Precautions
A medical examination is recommended before starting treatment. It is important to monitor blood pressure and be alert for symptoms of thrombosis. Women who suffer from migraines, diabetes, or who have a family history of thrombosis should consult their doctor before starting treatment. The use of alternative contraceptive methods should also be considered if severe vomiting or diarrhea occurs after administering the medication.
