Indications
Bactiver-F is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to the combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim. It is effective in the treatment of urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, otitis media, and certain gastrointestinal infections. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of Pneumocystis jirovecii infections in immunocompromised patients. A culture and sensitivity test is suggested to optimize antibiotic therapy.
Composition
Each Bactiver-F tablet contains: 800 mg of sulfamethoxazole and 160 mg of trimethoprim, as well as the necessary excipients for its formulation.
Contraindications
Bactiver-F is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, trimethoprim, or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of agranulocytosis, megaloblastic anemia, or severe renal failure. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless deemed strictly necessary by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver, kidney, or hematological diseases. It is important to monitor renal function during treatment, as well as to be alert for the appearance of adverse reactions. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children.
