Indications
Avecitalfin is indicated for the treatment of conditions requiring the administration of B complex vitamins, as well as for local anesthesia in medical procedures. It is used in the prevention and treatment of thiamine (vitamin B1) and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) deficiencies, which can occur in patients with malabsorption, gastrointestinal diseases, or those with inadequate diets. Additionally, lidocaine is used to provide pain relief in minor procedures.
Composition
Each Avecitalfin ampoule contains:
- Cyanocobalamin: 1000 mcg
- Thiamine: 100 mg
- Lidocaine: 2% (20 mg/ml)
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be administered in cases of severe heart disease, or in patients with bleeding disorders or those undergoing anticoagulant therapy unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Avecitalfin to patients with a history of allergic reactions to local anesthetics. It is advisable to perform a renal and hepatic function assessment before administering the medication. It should not be administered in high doses or for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
