Indications
Avapena is indicated for the treatment of allergic symptoms such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as for the relief of symptoms associated with urticaria and other allergic reactions. Its antihistamine action helps reduce symptoms such as sneezing, nasal and ocular itching, and nasal congestion. This medication can also be used as part of the treatment of conditions requiring a sedative effect, due to its properties that can induce drowsiness.
Composition
Each Avapena tablet contains 25 mg of chloropyramine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
The use of Avapena is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to chloropyramine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or those with severe respiratory diseases such as uncontrolled bronchial asthma. Likewise, its use should be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless explicitly medically indicated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, or liver problems. Renal function should be evaluated in elderly patients or those with pre-existing medical conditions. Concomitant use with alcohol, tranquilizers, or sedatives is not recommended, as it may enhance their effects. Driving vehicles or operating heavy machinery should be avoided while under the influence of the medication.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
