Indications

Autevazen is indicated for the treatment of partial epileptic seizures in adult and pediatric patients from 4 years of age. It is used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of refractory epilepsy in adults and in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. This medication works by modulating the release of neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to stabilize neuronal electrical activity and reducing the frequency and severity of seizures.

Composition

Each Autevazen tablet contains 500 mg of Levetiracetam as the active ingredient, as well as the excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Autevazen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levetiracetam or any of the product's excipients. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antiepileptic drugs.

Precautions

Caution is advised when administering Autevazen to patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as it may increase the incidence of adverse effects such as mood changes, depression, and suicidal thoughts. It is important to monitor patients for any signs of worsening mental health. Additionally, the dose should be adjusted in patients with renal insufficiency.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
