Indications
Ateka is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, specifically in ulcerative colitis and active Crohn's disease. Its action is based on reducing inflammation in the intestine, providing relief from associated symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal pain. This medication is also used to maintain remission in patients with ulcerative colitis, helping to prevent relapses and maintain intestinal health. Composition
Each tablet contains: Mesalazine 1200 mg. Excipients: (specify excipients if available).
Contraindications
Ateka is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mesalazine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with severe renal insufficiency or those with a history of severe adverse reactions to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with pre-existing kidney disease or liver disease.
Precautions
