Indications

Argental 1% Cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial wounds and burns, as well as for the prophylaxis of infections in skin lesions. Its use is appropriate for ulcerations, first and second-degree burns, and in the care of surgical wounds. The action of silver sulfate helps prevent the growth of microorganisms at the site of the lesion, thus promoting an environment conducive to healing. Its application is recommended on clean wounds and, if necessary, it can be used in combination with other topical treatments as indicated by a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each 100 g of Argental Cream contains: Silver Sulfate 1 g. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, propylene glycol, cera alba, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to silver sulfate or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended for third-degree burns or extensive lesions affecting large areas of the body. Its use in newborns and pregnant women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to metals or silver compounds. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Application to extensive areas and for prolonged periods should be done under medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light.
