Indications
Archer Compound is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, as it combines two antihypertensive agents: Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. This combination allows for effective blood pressure control in patients who require multiple drugs to achieve adequate management of their condition. Furthermore, it can be used in patients with hypertension resistant to monotherapy.
Composition
Each tablet of Archer Compound contains:
- Telmisartan: 80 mg
- Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of angioedema associated with the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with anuria or severe renal disease.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of liver disease, renal insufficiency, diabetes mellitus, and those who are being treated with other antihypertensives. It is important to regularly monitor blood pressure and electrolytes during treatment. This medication is not recommended for administration in children or in people with swallowing difficulties.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
