Indications
Aqynzio is indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting that may be caused by chemotherapy in adult patients. This medication combines two antiemetic agents, palonosetron and netupitant, which act synergistically to provide effective control of gastrointestinal symptoms related to cancer treatment. Its use is recommended in combination with corticosteroids to improve treatment efficacy. It is important that its use be supervised by an oncologist to ensure appropriate and personalized patient management.
Composition
Each Aqynzio capsule contains: 0.5 mg Palonosetron and 300 mg Netupitant.
Contraindications
Aqynzio is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of anaphylactic reactions or angioedema after the administration of similar antiemetics. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of intestinal obstruction or severe gastrointestinal conditions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Aqynzio in patients with moderate to severe hepatic or renal impairment. It is essential to monitor liver function during treatment. Likewise, it is recommended to avoid the concomitant use of medications that may induce or inhibit the metabolism of Aqynzio components, to prevent drug interactions. This medication is not indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting in pediatric patients.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 °C and 30 °C, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
