Indications

Aprepitant is indicated for the prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy in adult and pediatric patients. It is also used for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Composition

Each Aprepitant capsule contains 125 mg or 80 mg of aprepitant as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to aprepitant or any of the excipients. Use is not recommended in pregnant women without medical supervision and in patients who are receiving certain medications that may interact with aprepitant.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency. Aprepitant can alter the metabolism of other medications, so it is important to inform the doctor about all medications the patient is taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. It is recommended to evaluate liver function before starting treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
