Indications

Amal (Ondansetron) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in cancer patients, and for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. This medication works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance in the body that can cause nausea and vomiting. It is commonly used in patients receiving oncological treatments or undergoing surgical procedures that may cause these adverse effects.

Composition

Each Amal tablet contains 8 mg of Ondansetron as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Amal is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ondansetron or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, as it may cause adverse effects on heart function.

Precautions

Amal should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver problems, as the dosage may require adjustment. Likewise, care should be taken when using it in patients who are being treated with medications that may prolong the QT interval. It is important to monitor patients who show symptoms of dehydration, as this may increase the risk of adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at no more than 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
