Indications
Adel is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections such as pharyngitis, sinusitis, acute bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as to eradicate Helicobacter pylori in patients with peptic ulcers. Its effectiveness is due to its ability to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis, which contributes to the elimination of the infection.
Composition
Each Adel tablet contains 500 mg of Clarithromycin as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clarithromycin or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of cholestatic jaundice or severe hepatic dysfunction. It is also contraindicated in combination with certain medications that are metabolized by cytochrome P450, as they can cause adverse interactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of cardiac arrhythmias. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during treatment. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
