Indications
Vastionin (Isotretinoin) is indicated for the treatment of severe nodular acne that has not responded to other treatments, as well as in specific situations of acne that may cause permanent scarring. It is also used in the treatment of keratosis follicularis and other dermal conditions that require aggressive management to improve the patient's quality of life. Isotretinoin acts by reducing sebum production in the sebaceous glands, which decreases pore obstruction and the formation of acne lesions.
Composition
Each capsule contains: Isotretinoin 10 mg. Excipients: gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Vastionin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isotretinoin or any of the excipients. It should not be used in pregnant women or women who may become pregnant during treatment, as it can cause severe congenital malformations. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver diseases, uncontrolled hyperlipidemias, and in those who are being treated with tetracyclines.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of depression, psychiatric illnesses, or mood disorders. Regular monitoring of blood lipid levels and liver function is important during treatment. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraceptive methods during and for up to one month after finishing treatment.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
