Indications
Tronium is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to gastric acidity. It is primarily used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is characterized by the reflux of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus, causing symptoms such as heartburn, burning, and discomfort. It is also indicated for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, as part of a treatment for peptic ulcers. Additionally, Tronium can be used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as for the prevention of ulcers induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Composition
Each Tronium capsule contains 40 mg of esomeprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Tronium is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
The use of Tronium under strict medical supervision is recommended in patients with severe liver disease, as well as in those who present alarming symptoms such as unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, or gastrointestinal bleeding. Its prolonged use without medical evaluation is not recommended, given the potential risk of developing gastrointestinal infections or nutritional deficiencies due to malabsorption.
Storage
Tronium should be stored at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children.
