Indications
Tromdex is indicated for the reduction of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) levels in adult patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (familial or non-familial). It is used as an adjunct to an appropriate diet, in combination with statins in patients who do not achieve their LDL-C goal with statins alone. Additionally, it is indicated for the reduction of total cholesterol and LDL-C in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, as an adjunctive therapy to lipid-lowering treatments.
Composition
Each Tromdex tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe as an active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Tromdex is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Ezetimibe or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with active liver disease or in those with unexplained elevations of liver enzymes.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis, as well as in those with liver dysfunction. Regular monitoring of liver function tests and blood lipid levels is important. Patients should be informed about the importance of following an appropriate diet and making lifestyle changes along with pharmacological treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
