Indications
Macrozit G is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:
- Respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Ear, nose, and throat infections, such as otitis media and pharyngitis.
- Sexually transmitted infections, including urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.
- Prevention of bacterial infections in patients with rheumatic fever or endocarditis.
Composition
Each Macrozit G tablet contains:
- Azithromycin 500 mg.
Contraindications
Macrozit G is contraindicated in patients with:
- Known allergy to azithromycin, erythromycin, or other macrolide antibiotics.
- Severe hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in the following cases:
- Patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Patients with renal insufficiency.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
