Indications
Loxonin (loxoprofen) is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including postoperative pain, menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), osteoarticular pain, and dental pain. It can also be used in the management of febrile states and inflammatory conditions. This medication works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain and inflammation.
Composition
Each Loxonin capsule contains 60 mg of loxoprofen as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, gelatin, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loxoprofen or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, or severe heart failure. It is also contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, moderate renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those who are on anticoagulant treatment. Medical supervision is important for elderly individuals or patients with chronic diseases. It is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting treatment and during its prolonged use.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
