Indications
Loxonin (loxoprofen) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, as well as for the reduction of inflammation in conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, and post-surgical pain. It is effective in the management of pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries and menstrual disorders. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of fever and can help relieve pain associated with infections. The analgesic and anti-inflammatory action of loxoprofen occurs through the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, which are key mediators in the inflammatory response and pain perception.
Composition
Each tablet contains: 60 mg of loxoprofen. Excipients: starch, talc, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Loxonin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loxoprofen or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcer, severe renal failure, severe hepatic failure, as well as those with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or bleeding disorders.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, asthma, and in those who are on anticoagulant therapy. It is important to monitor renal function in elderly patients or in those with pre-existing conditions. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended without adequate medical supervision. Consult your doctor before starting treatment.
