Indications
Loventrax (Rivaroxaban) is indicated for the prevention of thromboembolic events in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, as well as in the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). This medication acts as a factor Xa antagonist, which prevents the formation of blood clots. It is also indicated for the prophylaxis of thromboembolic events in patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery, such as hip or knee arthroplasty.
Composition
Each Loventrax tablet contains 10 mg of rivaroxaban as the active ingredient. Additionally, it may contain excipients such as lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, among others, which facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rivaroxaban or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding, severe liver failure, and in those receiving concomitant treatment with other anticoagulants that increase the risk of bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcers, or bleeding disorders. It is important to monitor renal and hepatic function before and during treatment. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
