Indications
Loterex 0.5% Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the eye and adjacent structures. It is useful in the management of allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis, uveitis, and other conditions requiring anti-inflammatory treatment. This medication acts as a corticosteroid, reducing inflammation and alleviating associated symptoms. Loterex should be administered under the supervision of a physician, who will assess the need for its use based on the patient's condition.
Composition
Each mL of Loterex Eye Drops contains: Loteprednol etabonate 0.5% as active ingredient. Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium phosphate, phosphoric acid, purified water.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Loteprednol or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in viral, fungal, or bacterial eye infections without appropriate concomitant treatment. Likewise, its use is not advisable in patients with eye diseases such as herpes simplex or uncontrolled glaucoma.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of ocular herpes simplex, as prolonged use of corticosteroids may increase the risk of developing eye infections. Intraocular pressure should be monitored in patients requiring prolonged treatment. Loterex should not be used as a first-line therapy for eye infections.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
