Indications
Losil-S topical solution is indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections, such as tinea corporis, tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris, and cutaneous candidiasis. Terbinafine, its active ingredient, works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which results in the death of fungal cells. This medication is effective in treating infections that cause itching, redness, and flaking of the skin.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Losil-S topical solution contains 1 g of terbinafine (as terbinafine hydrochloride) and excipients q.s.p. 100 ml.
Contraindications
Losil-S topical solution is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended on open wounds or extensive lesions. Its use in pediatric patients should be evaluated and supervised by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when applying Losil-S to skin areas that show irritation or severe inflammation. It should not be applied to mucous membranes or in the eyes. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
