Indications
Lomecan Ovules is a medicine indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by fungi, specifically those caused by Candida species. Its active ingredient, clotrimazole, works by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of fungi, which helps relieve symptoms associated with vaginal infections, such as itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. This medicine is used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis and can be applied in recurrent cases of fungal infection.
Composition
Each ovule contains 200 mg of clotrimazole as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients that allow for the correct formulation and release of the medicine.
Contraindications
The use of Lomecan Ovules is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in cases of vaginal infections caused by pathogenic agents other than fungi.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using this medicine in patients with a history of allergic or dermatological reactions. In addition, contact with the eyes should be avoided and it should not be applied to irritated or damaged skin areas. In case of persistence of symptoms or the appearance of adverse effects, a doctor should be consulted.
