Indications
Insulex N is indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients who require insulin for blood glucose control. This medication is particularly useful in cases where consistent glycemic control is needed throughout the day. Its use is recommended in combination with an appropriate diet and exercise regimen, as well as in association with other oral antidiabetics if necessary to improve glycemic control. Insulex N is used for the management of hyperglycemia and for the prevention of long-term complications associated with diabetes.
Composition
Each ml of Insulex N contains: Isophane Insulin (100 units/ml). Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, water for injection.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to insulin or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used during episodes of hypoglycemia or when a hypoglycemic episode is expected.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney or liver disease, as well as in those who experience changes in their eating habits or physical activity. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential to prevent episodes of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. Patients are advised to carry a source of sugar with them in case of hypoglycemic symptoms.
Storage
Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Do not freeze. Once opened, the vial must be used within a specified period of time, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep out of reach of children.
