Indications
Exel (Meloxicam) is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and painful processes of various etiologies. It is used in the treatment of rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as in the management of acute pain, including postoperative pain and pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic action makes it suitable for patients who require pain control and inflammation reduction. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of acute painful conditions, such as dysmenorrhea and gout. It is important that the use of this medication is supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure its correct indication and dosage.
Composition
Each Exel ampoule contains: Meloxicam 15 mg, excipients q.s. for 1.5 ml.
Contraindications
Exel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any other component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of active gastric or duodenal ulcers, severe renal insufficiency, severe hepatic insufficiency, and in those who have experienced severe adverse reactions to other NSAIDs. It should not be administered in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, moderate renal or hepatic insufficiency, arterial hypertension, and in those undergoing treatment with anticoagulants. Renal and hepatic function should be evaluated before starting treatment and during its use. It is important to avoid combining it with other NSAIDs and to consider medical evaluation in case of adverse reactions.
