Indications
Encephabol (Pyritinol) is indicated for the treatment of cognitive disorders and memory alterations associated with various neurological conditions. It is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of senile dementia and vascular cognitive impairment. It has also been used in recovery situations after a cerebrovascular accident, where a decrease in cognitive functions is observed. Its use is suggested in patients with attention deficit and in those who have difficulty concentrating.
Composition
Each Encephabol tablet contains 200 mg of Pyritinol as an active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Encephabol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pyritinol or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe kidney disease or in patients with a history of uncontrolled seizures. Likewise, its use in pediatrics must be evaluated by a specialist physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders or in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect the central nervous system. Continuous medical monitoring during treatment is important. The use of Encephabol during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
