Indications
Co-Diovan is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication combines two active components, valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide, which act synergistically to reduce blood pressure. Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that helps relax blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that promotes the elimination of water and salt from the body, thus contributing to a decrease in blood volume and blood pressure. The administration of Co-Diovan is recommended for patients who do not achieve blood pressure control with monotherapy or for those who require combined treatment to achieve better control of their condition.
Composition
Each tablet contains 320 mg of valsartan and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide as active ingredients. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
Co-Diovan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or who are on dialysis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, heart problems, or those taking other medications that may affect blood pressure. It is important to monitor kidney function and electrolytes, especially in elderly patients or those with previous dehydration.

Store in its original packaging, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
