Indications
Besivance (besifloxacin) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections, specifically for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis. This medication works by inhibiting the growth and replication of bacteria, which helps control the infection and reduce associated symptoms such as redness, itching, and eye discharge. The drop formulation allows direct application to the infection site, facilitating rapid and effective action. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and treatment duration to ensure the medication's effectiveness.
Composition
Each ml of solution contains 6 mg of besifloxacin, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Besivance is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to besifloxacin or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to other fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of eye problems, as well as in those who wear contact lenses. It is advisable not to wear contact lenses during treatment and to wait at least 15 minutes after applying the drops before reinserting them. Additionally, avoid touching the dropper tip to the eyes or any other surface to prevent product contamination.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.
