Indications
Aviant (desloratadine) is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria. Desloratadine is a non-sedating antihistamine that helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. Its action is based on the inhibition of histamine release and other inflammatory mediators, providing effective and long-lasting relief from allergic symptoms.
Composition
Each Aviant tablet contains 5 mg of desloratadine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Aviant is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desloratadine or any of the components of the formula. It is not recommended in patients who experience severe allergic reactions to other antihistamines. Furthermore, its use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency, as desloratadine elimination may be altered. Likewise, care should be taken in patients with liver diseases. It should not be used in combination with alcoholic beverages, as this may potentiate sedative effects, although desloratadine is less sedating than other antihistamines.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of the reach of children. Do not store under conditions of high humidity or extreme temperatures.
