Indications

Tronium is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production. Its main indications include:

  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults and children over 12 years old.
  • Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, including ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori infection, in combination with antibiotics.
  • Prevention of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers in high-risk patients.
  • Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Composition

Each Tronium capsule contains 40 mg of esomeprazole, as well as excipients that facilitate its absorption and efficacy.

Contraindications

Tronium should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Furthermore, it is contraindicated in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with hepatic insufficiency, as the dosage may need adjustment. Monitoring is also recommended for patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, as well as those who present symptoms of malabsorption or nutritional deficiencies.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place. Keep out of reach of children.
