Indications
Toujeo is indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This long-acting insulin is used for glycemic control in patients requiring insulin for the management of their condition. Its use is recommended in combination with oral antidiabetic medications in patients with type 2 diabetes who fail to maintain adequate blood glucose control with these options. Toujeo provides a prolonged and stable release profile, which minimizes the risk of hypoglycemia compared to other insulins. It is important that treatment is adjusted according to the individual needs of the patient, under medical supervision.
Composition
Each ml of Toujeo contains 300 units of insulin glargine and excipients necessary for its formulation. The exact composition should be consulted in the leaflet.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to insulin glargine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with severe hypoglycemic episodes or in those with conditions that compromise the ability to recognize hypoglycemia.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, as the pharmacokinetics of insulin may be altered. It is important to monitor blood glucose levels and adjust insulin dosage as needed. Adequate education on diabetes management and insulin use, as well as the importance of treatment adherence, is recommended.
Storage
Toujeo should be stored in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once in use, it can be kept at room temperature (below 30°C) and must be used within 42 days.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
